if.else is an experimental duo consisting of Jenny Davis and Philip Snyder who seek the edges of sonic space. They enter their creations curiously and invite others into a shared space of discovery. Jenny Davis and Philip Snyder are award-winning experimental flutists based in Memphis, TN and Charleston, SC respectively. Both natives of the Southeast, they are dedicated to engaging southern art spaces to explore work outside the boundaries of genre. They have appeared in venues including the North Carolina Museum of Art, Crosstown Arts, Tapp’s Arts Space, and the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass MoCA) among others and have been presented by festivals including MemphisConcrète, Southern Exposure New Music Series, nief-norf, and others.
